Four types of modules are offered:
1. Central modules – entrepreneurial (Spiez)
The entrepreneurial modules are offered by the HES-SO in collaboration with three other Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences.
Learning outcome : Students acquire the ability to analyze and use the interface between the technical-scientific core areas and the social-economic context
Students have the choice among 5 modules. They select 3 modules at 4 ECTS each
2. Central modules – Advanced Life Sciences (Bern)
The Advanced Life Sciences modules are offered by the HES-SO in collaboration with three other Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences.
Learning outcome: Students acquire and apply advanced technical and scientific knowledge in the Life Sciences in general
Students have the choice among 13 modules. They select 6 modules at 3 ECTS each
3. Specialization modules – viticulture, enology, business (CHANGINS)
The specialization modules are offered at CHANGINS.
Learning outcome: Acquire the ability to analyze and optimize all factors determining grape and wine production, marketing and business management.
Students are given the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams on real cases. At all times the three key areas viticulture, enology and business are taken into account interactively.

4. Master thesis
The Master thesis will develop and confirm the student’s critical understanding and communication capabilities. It includes the ability to analyze, design and implement solutions for technological and scientific problems in the field of viticulture, enology or business.
The Master thesis consists of three modules:
Research Proposal and Bibliography (X01, semester 1, 4 ECTS)
Thesis Specialization Module (X02, semester 2, 6 ECTS)
Master Thesis (X03, semester 3, 30 ECTS)
